This term in Tawny Owls, we’re setting off on an incredible adventure across Africa! Our learning bursts into life as we dive into Journey to Jo’burg by Beverly Naidoo—a gripping story that inspires us to craft vivid setting descriptions and dynamic newspaper reports in English. In Geography, we’re mapping African countries and discovering how life there compares to the UK, while History takes us deep into the mysteries of the Ancient Kingdom of Benin.
Science is all about the magic of sound, and in Art we’re unleashing creativity with bold, Picasso-inspired designs. From building strong, stylish pavilions in Design Technology to singing rhythmic South African songs in Music, mastering French numbers, and performing impressive partner balances in PE, every subject connects to our theme of culture and discovery.
